The Admission Process

The first step in learning more about The Farmington Valley Academy is to call and schedule a visit. Once an application is received by The Academy, the parents and child are invited to come for an interview.  Upon acceptance, a contract for the school year will be sent.

The Farmington Valley Academy Montessori values and welcome people of diverse color, ethnic origin, and religious beliefs.  To that end, the Farmington Valley Academy Montessori does not discriminate against any person in admission, employment, or otherwise because of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, martial status, physical or mental disability, gender, sexual orientation or age in violation of existing State or Federal Law Regulations.

The school implements this policy by hiring faculty and staff and accepting children of families with diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. The faculty, staff and student body at the Farmington Valley Academy Montessori is quite diverse.  Respect for all people, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, martial status, physical or mental disability, gender, sexual orientation or age is an important part of the Montessori philosophy and curriculum.  Diversity is viewed as an opportunity to explore a wide range of experiences, ideas, and cultures, challenge preconceptions and examine different ways of thinking which enhance the collective learning experience at FVAM.  Differences are embraced and considered to promote genuine respect for each individual in the school’s Montessori community.  Diversity exposes each member of the community to the rich and wonderful variety of the human race.

We appreciate your interest in The Farmington Valley Academy and we look forward to meeting you and exploring the possibility of working with your family.
